Day 1 : Arrive Amritsar & Local Sightseeing

On arrival in Amritsar, we would transfer you to the hotel after completing the check in formalities. Later in the afternoon, enjoy the sightseeing tour of the region.

Golden Temple :

Our day of exploration will kick-off at Amritsar’s spiritual abode – the beautiful Golden Temple.

Jallianwala Bagh :

Later we will move for evening sightseeing of Jallianwala Bagh, a historical memorial where British troops shot and killed 379 unarmed Indian demonstrators in 1919.

Punjabi Dinner :

Afterwards we will take you to a traditional restaurant for delicious Punjabi cuisine – try out the following:

Day 2 : Exploring Amritsar

Today will be devoted entirely to the exploration of Amritsar.

After a healthy and delicious breakfast in the hotel, we will visit Durgiana Temple. Another ancient monument which is religiously important, Durgiana Temple or Lakshmi Narayan Temple has beautiful Rajasthan-style artwork.

Following a visit to Durgiana Temple, we will go for the Partition Museum.

A tour to Partition Museum in Amritsar helps relive the trauma of Partition of India in 1947, and the consequences that continue to shape millions of lives today.

In the afternoon we will take you to the Wagah Border, where just before sun sets you can witness Beating Retreat Ceremony; where India’s and Pakistan’s troops perform a spectacular display on the border lowering their respective national flags with military rigor to a large crowd.

At the evening, we would drop you at a local restaurant to enjoy your delicious Punjabi meal and afterwards we will take you to the hotel for the night.

Day 3 : Amritsar – Final View & Departure

After your breakfast in the hotel, we would complete the check-out formalities.

Next, we would visit Gobindgarh Fort an historical old fort where you can visit museums and gather the knowledge about the history of the city.

Lastly, you would have some time for last-minute shopping of local handicraft items like:

History of the Golden Temple

In 1581, Guru Ram Das Ji, the fourth Sikh guru founded the city of Amritsar, where the first bricks of the holy shrine were laid down by Saint Baba Buddha.

Guru Arjan Dev Ji, the fifth Sikh guru built this shrine in 1589.

During 1604, he established the Guru Granth Sahib at this site.

This place was beautifully decorated with fine quality marble stones, with golden leaf roofing on the ceiling.
